Job Summary
Metropolitan Hospital is seeking an HR Officer to support and coordinate human resource functions within the hospital. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, staff welfare, Compensation & Benefits, HR administration, and compliance with labour laws and hospital policies. The role ensures efficient HR service delivery while supporting a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration & Operations: Support and coordinate core human resource functions within the hospital.
Recruitment & Selection: Facilitate and coordinate the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
Employee Relations: Manage staff welfare, address employee issues, and maintain a harmonious work environment.
Performance Management: Support performance management processes, training needs identification, and appraisals.
Compliance: Ensure absolute compliance with Kenyan labour laws and hospital-wide policies.
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management.
Active membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in an HR role.
Prior experience working in the service industry is an added advantage.
Solid knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and contemporary HR best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Exceptional capability to work under pressure while maintaining absolute confidentiality.
