The Head Teacher will be responsible for driving academic excellence, ensuring effective implementation of the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum, and fostering a supportive and high-performing learning environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership by developing and implementing long-term academic and operational plans that support the school’s growth and innovation.
Curriculum Implementation: Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the CBE curriculum to ensure consistent, high-quality teaching and learning across all grade levels.
Instructional Mentoring: Provide instructional leadership by mentoring teachers, conducting classroom observations, and promoting modern and innovative teaching practices.
Staff Management: Oversee recruitment, performance management, and professional development of teaching and support staff to maintain high academic standards.
Student Welfare: Ensure the holistic development and wellbeing of students by overseeing discipline systems, student welfare programs, and co-curricular activities.
Inclusive Education: Promote inclusive education by ensuring appropriate learning support systems for students with diverse learning needs.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, education authorities, and other stakeholders through effective communication and engagement.
School Administration: Oversee the day-to-day administration of the school, ensuring compliance with education regulations, institutional policies, and quality standards.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related teaching qualification; a Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5–8 years of senior leadership experience in a school environment, preferably as a Principal or Head of School.
Strong experience in implementing and managing the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teaching teams while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and possess a valid TSC number.
