The Head of Diaspora Banking is responsible for leading the development and execution of the diaspora banking strategy to drive business growth and profitability. This role involves identifying and developing new markets, partnerships, and commercial opportunities across the global diaspora segment while designing and delivering innovative, digitally enabled products and solutions tailored to diaspora customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of the diaspora banking strategy to drive business growth and profitability. Identify and develop new markets, partnerships, and commercial opportunities globally.
Product Innovation: Design and deliver innovative, digitally enabled products and solutions tailored to diaspora customer needs. Leverage digital platforms and strategic partnerships to provide convenient, competitive, and scalable offerings.
Business Growth: Drive growth in deposits, liabilities, and customer acquisition across the diaspora portfolio.
Customer Relationship Management: Strengthen customer relationships through targeted engagement, service excellence, and tailored value propositions to enhance the bank's market positioning.
Team Management: Provide strategic leadership to the team by delivering direction, coaching, performance management, and fostering a high-performance culture anchored in accountability and innovation.
Market Monitoring: Monitor global market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategy and continuous improvement.
Risk Management: Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Credit policy prudential guidelines, and KYC procedures to mitigate against losses and regulatory penalties.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Academic & Professional: A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized institution. A Master's Degree in Business and professional qualifications in Project Management or a related business field are considered an added advantage.
Experience: At least 6 years of working experience in Sales, Customer Service, Credit, and Relationship Management. Additionally, 5 years of experience in Banking Operations is required.
