The Head of Ecosystems and Value Chain Banking is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies to create new business opportunities for the bank. This role involves collaborating with senior management to accelerate revenue growth and build sustainable business through synergies between business units such as corporate, retail, and treasury. The position also focuses on establishing a customer-centric culture and acting as the custodian for optimal ecosystem service delivery to ensure client retention and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to create new business opportunities for the bank in collaboration with senior management to accelerate revenue growth and build sustainable business.
Lead and direct synergies between business units (corporate, retail, treasury), enabling functions, and subsidiaries in driving and delivering optimal ecosystem and value chain opportunities for overall growth of the bank’s revenue.
Delivery of sales, revenue, and balance sheet targets for the value chain business.
Establish and sustain a customer-centric culture, leveraging people and technology.
Act as the custodian for optimal ecosystem service delivery and trusted customer experience to ensure client retention and loyalty.
Establish relationships with key value chain clients and business influencers in the country/regional customers.
Identify new business opportunities/target markets and collaborate with product teams to develop and commercialize product solutions.
Ensure strong cross-selling of bank products to existing and new clients; and in this process, maintain effective liaison with all relevant business units in the bank.
Develop and implement processes and procedures that promote the growth of ecosystems banking.
Drive and manage the relevant ecosystems forums and provide input into portfolio reports on excess management, revenue, and net profit growth relevant to ecosystems.
Develop and maintain productive strategic relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
Maintain a detailed and current understanding of the industry (at a macro, sector-specific, current market structures, regulatory requirements, and issues) to ensure opportunities maximization and risk mitigation.
Manage the risks for ecosystems within the regulatory and compliance framework of the Bank and ensure compliance with Bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Lead, motivate, and continuously develop a credible high-performing team.
Minimum Position Qualification Requirements
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related or any other relevant field – Required (RQ)
Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or AKIB – Added Advantage (AA)
Master’s Degree in Finance or a business-related field – Added Advantage (AA)
Experience Requirements
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, with demonstrated career progression
