Amentum is a global leader in designing, engineering, and modernizing critical systems and programs of national importance across defense, security, intelligence, energy, and the environment. We are looking for a Graphic Artist to provide comprehensive arts, graphic, and media printing services to meet customer requests and deliver high-quality personalized products. This role involves a blend of creative design and technical equipment operation to support marketing initiatives and operational visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive arts, graphic, and media printing services, including printing custom T-shirts, creating sports uniforms, and engraving brass trophy/plaque plates.
- Collaborate with customers to receive and interpret design orders, ensuring professional and accurate service delivery.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW) to create unique arts and graphics.
- Produce a monthly MWR Newsletter in color to market events, clubs, snack bars, and other MWR operations, ensuring government approval before distribution.
- Submit timely promotional content for recreational and club events to various media outlets like Plan of the Day and Tropical Times.
- Ensure all materials align with branding, formatting, and content standards for MWR marketing and Navy regulations.
- Operate and maintain printing, engraving, and graphic design equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of customer orders and service status.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
- Collaborate with staff to provide marketing solutions that enhance operational engagement.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in graphic design, media production, or arts-related fields.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a BA/BSc/HND, Diploma, or Professional Certificate in graphic design, arts, or marketing is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software and design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or equivalent programs.
- Hands-on experience operating printing machines, engravers, and other graphic media production equipment.
- Strong understanding of marketing and graphic design principles (layout, typography, branding).
- Excellent communication skills for direct customer interaction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must possess a valid passport (valid for at least one year) and be able to travel internationally.
- Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout deployment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain necessary facility credentials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience creating designs for government, military, or MWR-related programs.
- Knowledge of Navy regulations and branding guidelines.
