Grant & Reporting Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Proposal Development: Coordinate inputs from program teams, technical advisors, HQ, and partners to prepare project proposals. Ensure all submissions are timely and compliant with the mission's development plan.
• Grant Management: Facilitate coordination meetings and contribute to the preparation of donor narrative and financial reports, ensuring adherence to both donor and SIF requirements.
• Resource Mobilisation: Assist the Head of Mission and Programme Coordinator with donor mapping, preparing briefing materials, and supporting engagement with local donor representatives.
• Capacity Building: Provide guidance and training to program teams on SIF and donor guidelines, proposal development, and reporting processes.
• Operational Support: Offer occasional support to finance, administration, and logistics departments, including budget monitoring, documentation, and procurement procedures to ensure compliance.

Profile and Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in proposal development, project/programme reporting, or grants management within an International NGO (INGO).
• Donor Knowledge: Strong understanding of donor rules and regulations, specifically UN agencies, European donors, and US/EU funding mechanisms.
• Organisational Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities with a focus on anticipation and meeting strict deadlines.
• Work Management: Ability to plan workloads effectively while demonstrating accountability and proactivity.
• Language: Fluent proficiency in English is essential for this role.
