Kilifi County Public Service Board is seeking to recruit a Geologist. This position is aimed at supporting the county's vision of being a leading, vibrant, highly productive, secure, and prosperous county. The Geologist will play a critical role in the efficient utilization of resources and supporting industrial growth and development initiatives to improve the quality of life for the inhabitants of Kilifi County.
Responsibilities
Conduct geological surveys and mapping to identify and assess natural resources.
Analyze geological data to support county infrastructure and development projects.
Monitor and manage groundwater and mineral resource extraction.
Provide technical advice on environmental impact and geological hazards.
Prepare detailed technical reports and maps for resource management.
Support industrial growth through identifying geological potential in various sectors.
Requirements and Qualifications
Possession of a Bachelor's Degree (BA/BSc) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Geology or a related science field.
Candidates with foreign qualifications must obtain a certificate of recognition from the Commission of University Education (CUE).
Successful candidates must produce statutory clearance certificates from the following bodies:
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
