We are looking for a Flight Operations Manager to ensure the efficient functioning of our flying section in accordance with statutory, industry, and internal standards.
Responsibilities
Ensure that all licenses and documentation relating to the Company’s aircraft operations are current and valid at all times.
Obtain Police, Department of Defence, diplomatic, and all other relevant clearances as required.
Act as a liaison with all government bodies concerned with the operation of the company’s aircraft.
Maintain the discipline, welfare, and morale of flight operations officers and ground handling staff.
Supervise general administration and ensure the efficient functioning of the flying section.
Maintain proper records relating to flight operations.
Assign crews to flights and prepare flight schedules in conjunction with the Crew Scheduling Officer.
Ensure all contractual requirements relating to aircraft and crew are met.
Serve as the company’s Dangerous Goods Coordinator.
Requirements
A minimum of three years’ experience as an Operations Manager in a commercial air transport organization.
Must possess a BA/BSc/HND qualification.
Must have completed a Flight Dispatcher’s course.
Thorough working knowledge of flight operations, KCAA, and ICAO regulations.
Computer literacy is required.
Strong leadership skills to manage flight operations and ground staff.
Strong resource management skills to optimize aircraft utilization and fuel planning.
Strong crisis response skills to manage weather disruptions and AOG events.
