This position provides a unique opportunity to be involved in a variety of financial accounting areas including consolidations, international accounting, financial analyses, U.S. GAAP compliance, forecasting and budgeting. Responsibilities also include coordinating and/or preparing book and certain tax accounting information for use by our external tax advisors in preparing the tax provision and federal, state and local income tax returns.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Consolidation & Reporting: Complete worldwide consolidated income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flow. Prepare year-end audited financial statements including footnotes and assist in external audit coordination.
Planning & Analysis: Prepare worldwide annual budget and quarterly annual forecasts. Develop financial analyses and presentations for Board of Directors’ meetings. Prepare global business segment reporting.
Cost Accounting: Analyze manufacturing and operational costs to identify variances and recommend corrective actions. Prepare cost reports and profitability analysis for products, projects, or departments. Monitor and update standard costs to reflect production or market changes.
Operational Support: Perform margin analysis and support pricing decisions. Collaborate with operations and procurement to optimize cost efficiency. Support month-end and year-end closing processes including cost allocation and inventory valuation.
Compliance & Tax: Monitor U.S. GAAP compliance and stay updated on new accounting requirements. Coordinate preparation of financial and tax information for U.S. tax provision and compliance purposes.
Administrative & Other: Coordinate information for annual insurance renewal. Develop and maintain cost accounting systems. Handle selected Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Purchasing, and Production functions.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business with a major in accounting.
Three to four (3-4) years of experience in general accounting, financial statement preparation, financial analysis, consolidations, and U.S. GAAP.
Emphasis in international accounting.
CPA certification and Big 4 Experience are highly preferred.
Proficiency in developing complex spreadsheets using Excel and creating PowerPoint presentations.
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience is a plus.
