The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the full financial cycle, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining robust internal controls across the group's manufacturing and diverse business interests.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Month-End Close & Reporting
Manage month-end and year-end close processes including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and fixed assets.
Prepare timely monthly financial and management reports to guide business decisions.
Books of Account & Controls
Maintain accurate records in Tally ERP.
Improve finance processes and reporting accuracy.
Strengthen internal controls and financial discipline within the team.
Payables, Receivables & Cash Management
Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions with proper approvals and follow-up.
Manage bank reconciliations and cashbook control.
Maintain general financial housekeeping.
Statutory Compliance & Audit Readiness
Prepare and submit statutory returns (PAYE, VAT, SHIF, NSSF, and other filings) on time.
Maintain schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
Procurement, Payroll & Inventory
Provide financial control over procurement transactions.
Process payroll accurately and on time.
Participate in stock counts and inventory reconciliations; resolve variances.
Support margin and costing analysis as required.
Team Supervision
Supervise and guide the Accounts Assistant in day-to-day finance operations.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional qualification: CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
5–7 years of relevant finance experience.
Strong knowledge of IFRS/IAS and Kenyan tax/statutory requirements.
Manufacturing experience is required.
Inventory-heavy exposure is highly preferred.
Experience with Tally is preferred.
EPZ or export exposure is an added advantage.
