As a Field Superintendent - Integrated Solutions, you will be responsible for the direct management of operations on drilling, completion, and workover projects. This role involves overseeing day-to-day field operations, providing support and direction to the Drilling and Completions teams, and ensuring strict accountability for safety at rig sites. You will serve as an operational leader, exemplifying Baker Hughes' core values and mentoring a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Direct management of operations on drilling, completion, and workover projects.
Manage day-to-day field operations and provide support and direction to Drilling and Completions teams.
Maintain strict accountability for safety at all rig sites.
Manage all rig-based and field-based operations, including simultaneous operations for drilling and completions rigs.
Forecast upcoming operational needs and coordinate with logistics and civil works to ensure site readiness.
Manage drilling, completion, and workover expenditures.
Lead by example as an operational leader, ensuring that the team of drilling and completion supervisors adheres to core values and standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited university or relevant industry experience.
Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
At least 5+ years of experience as a Wellsite Leader.
Valid Well Control Certificate (IWCF Level 4) or equivalent.
Experience working in turnkey drilling and completion projects or as a drilling supervisor/superintendent for an operating company.
Advanced knowledge of Drill string design, downhole dynamics, Directional Drilling, and hydraulics (including nozzle selection).
Comprehensive knowledge of well control best practices and drilling fluid management.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project.
Willingness to work on a rotational schedule at rig sites and travel to remote field locations.
Proven ability to manage, develop, coach, and mentor high-level teams across organizational boundaries.
