The County Government of Kisumu is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Environmental Engineer. Kisumu County, located in Nyanza, is committed to transforming the livelihoods of its people through accountable, efficient, and effective leadership and the pursuit of quality services. The Environmental Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring that county projects and operations align with environmental protection standards and sustainable practices.
Requirements for Appointment
Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
Registered or eligible for registration as a Graduate Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
Possession of EIA/EA (Environmental Impact Assessment/Environmental Audit) certification by NEMA is an added advantage.
Demonstrated knowledge of key environmental legislation, including EMCA 1999, the Water Act, and the Climate Change Act.
Proficiency in environmental modelling and design software.
