This is the entry and training grade for county enforcement service officers. Personnel at this level work under the guidance of a senior officer to enforce county laws, maintain public order, and protect county assets and VIPs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Investigate and apprehend offenders of county laws.
Perform sentry duty, guard duties, and participate in morning parades.
Screen persons entering public places.
Undertake crowd control and coverage duties.
Maintain daily signal logbook.
Drive government vehicles and motorcycles.
Carry out regular patrols in parking areas to ensure orderly parking and traffic management.
Hoist the national and county government flags.
Protect county government properties and premises; enforce revenue collection, laws, and other regulations.
Maintain law and order in trading centres.
Provide protection to VIPs.
Requirements for Appointment
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), mean Grade D (Plain) or its equivalent qualification recognized in Kenya.
Aged between 18 and 29 years.
Physical fitness as applicable to disciplined services plus a fitness medical certificate from a recognized institution.
Certificate from the National Police Training Institution, National Youth Service recruit training school, or any other approved paramilitary training institution.
Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership and Integrity and Article 232 on Values and Principles of Public Service.
