Role Purpose
The Homeroom Teacher will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment that fosters academic growth and personal development, adhering to ISK's educational aims and pedagogical frameworks.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality instruction based on constructivist, conceptual inquiry, and transdisciplinary models.
Implement curricula using frameworks such as Understanding by Design (UbD) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
Apply the Workshop model (structure and philosophy) within the classroom setting.
Ensure an inclusive environment that caters to diverse learning needs.
Manage the classroom using Responsive Classrooms and Restorative Justice practices.
Integrate educational technology, specifically Google Suite, to enhance student learning.
Collaborate effectively within a multicultural setting to promote intercultural learning.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in a relevant subject(s).
Teacher certification from an accredited university/college.
Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience.
Cultural proficiency and understanding of intercultural learning with teaching experience in a multicultural setting.
Competent in using educational technology, including Google Suite, and experience integrating technology into the curriculum.
Fluent English speaker with excellent writing and communication skills.
Solid understanding of pedagogy and instructional approaches aligned with ISK’s educational aims: Constructivism, conceptual inquiry, transdisciplinary learning, UbD, UDL, Workshop model, Inclusion, Responsive Classrooms, and Restorative Justice.
