The Electrical Assistant provides critical support to Electrical Engineers and Technicians to ensure consistent water production, distribution, and wastewater treatment. This is achieved through the optimum deployment, utilization, maintenance, and rehabilitation of plant and equipment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Engineering Installations: Undertake Electrical Engineering installation works according to technical specifications.
Monitoring & Documentation: Inspect and monitor work progress while maintaining detailed records of all activities.
Maintenance: Ensure regular preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out as assigned.
Equipment Servicing: Perform installation, servicing, and maintenance of all electrical equipment and specialized instruments.
Supervision: Coordinate and supervise the work of Artisans and laborers on-site.
Utility Liaison: Liaise with the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) to ensure a continuous power supply to boreholes, water/wastewater works, pumping stations, and company offices.
Academic Qualifications
A Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognized learning institution.
A Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognized learning institution is considered an added advantage.
Professional Requirements
Registration with the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) will be an added advantage.
