Our client in the Telecommunications sector seeks to recruit a Direct Sales Agent (DSA) to be based in Machakos. The primary purpose of this role is to market and sell company products and services to all customers in a professional manner. The role reports to the Shop Team Leader and requires adherence to finance controls, processes, and policies within the retail operations mandate.
Responsibilities
Sales Generation: Meet and exceed sales targets for Airtime, Acquisitions, and Devices.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory and consignment stock daily to ensure accurate balance of inventory movements and physical stock.
Financial Accountability: Manage the daily cash float and account for all daily sales transactions.
Customer Experience: Support and implement customer experience improvement strategies to increase sales and retention.
Technical Support: Offer technical assistance to customers, particularly regarding the configuration of data devices.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in sales, preferably within the telecommunications or retail sector.
Technical Competencies: Strong marketing skills, product knowledge, upselling and cross-selling abilities, and customer relationship management.
Core Competencies: Customer focus, networking, building partnerships, influencing, and negotiating skills.
Leadership Competencies: Strategic orientation, business acumen, and a focus on results and self-development.
