Deputy Director of Medical Services/Senior Medical Specialist (Neurosurgeon)

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized neurosurgical care and surgical interventions to patients.
• Oversee medical service delivery and maintain high standards of patient care.
• Provide expert consultation and guidance to other medical staff within the county healthcare system.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of health policies and strategic plans for the department.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and ethical standards in medical practice.
• Mentor and supervise junior medical officers and specialists.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria and provide the necessary documentation:

• A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from a recognized institution.
• A Master of Medicine degree in Neurosurgery or equivalent specialization from a recognized institution.
• Registration and a valid practicing license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
• Demonstrated professional competence and high-level clinical skills in neurosurgery.
• Compliance with the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
