The role of Curator II is a permanent and pensionable position within the County Government of Kitui, focusing on the proper management of park facilities, animal welfare, security, and public engagement. This position is graded with a salary scale starting at Ksh. 32,700 and rising up to Ksh. 42,690 per month.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Curator II is responsible for a variety of tasks related to facility management, animal welfare, security, and public engagement:
Proper management of the park cleanliness and welfare of the captive animals.
Ensuring that visitors do not tamper with objects and exhibits.
Maintain internal security of exhibits.
Receive and assist visitors in the park.
Maintain good public relations.
Requirements for Appointment
To be eligible for appointment to this grade, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Be a Citizen of Kenya.
Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management, Environmental Science, Ranch Management, or other related fields from a recognized institution.
Demonstrate knowledge on handling reptiles.
