The County Government of Kakamega is recruiting 55 County Marshalls to support the devolved government's functions in Western Kenya. This role is crucial for maintaining order, managing traffic, and ensuring effective revenue collection within the county. Selected candidates will undergo specialized paramilitary training to prepare them for the rigors of the role and ensure they can respond effectively to safety and emergency situations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Patrol Operations: Conduct regular patrols in parking areas to ensure orderly parking and effective traffic management.
Emergency Response: Promptly respond to safety alerts and emergency situations as they arise.
Information Gathering: Collect and report relevant information on matters of interest to the County Government.
Revenue Enforcement: Assist in the enforcement of county revenue collection processes.
Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform any other lawful duties related to the role as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements for Appointment
To be considered for these positions, candidates must satisfy the following minimum requirements:
Must be a resident of Kakamega County.
Must possess a valid Kenyan National Identity Card or Passport.
Must have a Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (K.C.P.E).
Possess good communication skills.
Must be medically fit and capable of undertaking demanding physical activities.
Must have no previous criminal conviction or record.
Successful candidates must be willing to undergo paramilitary training.
