The Corporate Relationship Manager will be responsible for acquiring and managing corporate clients by building trusted relationships, advising on financial needs, recommending suitable banking solutions, and ensuring compliance while onboarding clients in line with the Bank's policies and procedures. Additionally, the role involves providing ongoing account servicing, identifying opportunities to expand banking services, and handling administrative support for client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
On-boarding: Manage client onboarding in accordance with established banking policies and procedures.
Business Development: Drive growth in corporate banking earnings, facilitate credit uptake, and maximize product utilization through cross-selling.
Advisory: Analyze client financial requirements and objectives, advising on suitable banking and financial solutions.
Relationship Management: Manage client portfolios to secure growth and retention.
Customer Support: Address and resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively.
Data Collection: Gather critical and relevant onboarding and KYC data from new customers.
Credit Administration: Draft corporate credit proposals, present recommendations to the Credit Committee, and follow up on credit approvals, letters of offer, and securities with the Credit Department.
Portfolio Monitoring: Track relationships and address all administrative and operational queries related to managed accounts.
Asset and Liability Management: Maintain quality corporate asset and liability books by ensuring timely collections on excesses and arrears, and actively support deposit mobilization initiatives.
Requirements and Experience
Experience: Over 10 years of experience as a Corporate Relationship Manager in the banking sector.
Specialization: Mandatory experience in Trade Finance.
Local Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Nairobi business landscape, with proven capabilities in handling corporate portfolios and credit relationships.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field (Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration / Management) from a recognized university. A Master's Degree is an added advantage.
Training: Leadership or management training is a plus.
