Role Overview
Our client, a reputable hospitality establishment, is seeking to recruit three (3) skilled and detail-oriented Cooks to join their culinary team. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while upholding strict food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Food Preparation & Cooking: Accurately and efficiently prepare and cook all menu items, including appetizers, entrees, soups, salads, and desserts, following standardized recipes.
Mise en Place: Conduct essential preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, seasoning, and organizing workstations before service.
Kitchen Operations: Safely operate a variety of kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, ovens, stovetops) and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
Inventory Management: Ensure all food items are properly stored, labeled, dated, and rotated using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method to prevent spoilage.
Quality Control: Ensure that food portions and presentation meet company standards and perform quality checks on all ingredients.
Collaboration: Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders, especially during peak hours.
Safety & Sanitation: Adhere strictly to all food health and safety regulations and perform cleaning and sanitization of work areas.
Administrative Duties: Monitor stock levels, communicate shortages to management, and oversee opening and closing procedures for assigned shifts.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Management, Communication, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in hospitality, catering, customer service, or a related culinary role.
Knowledge: Basic knowledge of event planning and coordination.
Availability: Flexibility to work extended hours and travel when required.
