NutriSave is seeking a creative and strategic Communications intern to capture and broadcast the impact of innovative interventions designed to reduce food loss and waste (FLW) while improving access to affordable nutritious foods among low-income consumers. The Intern will document the journey of two pilots: B2B Digital platforms (rescuing surplus F&Vs) and Washing, Cutting, Peeling, and Packaging (WCPP). The Intern will serve as the 'creative eye' of the program, translating technical milestones into compelling human-centered narratives for donors, partners, and the public.\n\n### Key Duties and Responsibilities\n\n#### Multimedia Content Production & Field Documentation\n* Value chain documentation: Conduct regular field visits to capture high-quality photography and videography of activities across the value chain.\n* Short form video production: Produce a series of 'Impact Bites' (60-90 second videos) optimized for social media.\n* Annual commemoration content: Script, film, and edit a 'year in review' flagship video for the in-person donor convening in September 2026.\n\n#### High Impact Storytelling & Human Interest Features\n* 'People of NutriSave' series: Identify and interview key stakeholders (women-led enterprises, traders, and mama mbogas) to create 'Success Stories'.\n* Technical storytelling: Collaborate with the MEL manager to turn 'Learning Questions' into narrative case studies.\n* Webinar & convening Support: Design visual presentations and multimedia segments for virtual and in-person industry convenings.\n\n#### Visibility Strategy & Brand Stewardship\n* Knowledge products: Lead the design and layout of high-quality briefs, infographics, and 'Lessons Learned' reports.\n* Visibility assets: Maintain a curated digital library of photos and videos.\n* Message alignment: Ensure all communications reflect NutriSave’s core values of inclusivity, food loss reduction, and nutritional equity.\n\n### Qualifications & Experience\n\n#### Academic background & Field experience\n* Education: A Degree or Diploma in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.\n* Professional tenure: 2 years of experience in communications or digital storytelling.\n* Contextual expertise: Experience documenting agricultural or international development programs, specifically within Low-Income Country (LIC) settings or the AG-tech sector.\n\n#### Content Creation & Creative Excellence\n* Multimedia production: Practical mastery of videography and photography, including scriptwriting and editing (Adobe Premiere/Final Cut).\n* Graphic design: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.\n* Digital storytelling: A strong portfolio showcasing the ability to translate complex food systems data into compelling hooks.\n* Narrative inquiry: Exceptional interviewing skills to capture authentic stories from diverse stakeholders.\n\n#### Digital Strategy & Platform Management\n* Social media mastery: In-depth understanding of YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.\n* Web management: Experience in WordPress management and digital asset organization.\n* Data-driven growth: Ability to use social analytics to inform content creation.\n* AI and innovation: Interest and ability to champion AI and digital innovation.\n\n#### Soft Skills & Professionalism\n* Communication: Elite written and verbal communication skills.\n* Organization: Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage field-based projects.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply via the TechnoServe recruitment portal: Apply Now
