Job Description
The Communications Assistant (also referred to as Communications Associate) supports the execution of Centonomy’s communications and visibility strategy by managing day-to-day content, campaigns, and audience engagement across platforms. This role is execution-focused, ensuring that content is published consistently, campaigns are delivered on time, and messaging aligns with brand and program objectives. You will play a key role in driving awareness, nurturing audiences, and supporting program enrollment through high-quality communication.
Key Responsibilities
Content Planning & Execution
Manage and maintain the content calendar across all platforms (social media, email, website).
Write and publish engaging, value-led content aligned with defined content pillars.
Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and brand voice across all communications.
Campaign Support
Support the execution of marketing campaigns for program launches, events, and trial classes.
Assist in developing campaign briefs for designers, videographers, and media buyers.
Coordinate timelines to ensure timely delivery of campaign assets and content.
Social Media & Community Management
Manage day-to-day social media posting and engagement.
Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Monitor audience feedback and flag insights or trends to the team.
Website & CRM Support
Update website content to reflect new program intakes, events, and key information.
Support the setup and management of CRM tools (e.g., Monday.com boards, tracking links).
Ensure accurate tracking of leads and campaign attribution links.
Content Production Coordination
Work closely with the Digital Content Creator to plan and execute visual and video content.
Liaise with external designers and consultants to ensure briefs are clear and outputs meet expectations.
Review drafts and provide feedback to ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
Cross-Department Collaboration
Work with the Programs team to translate class content into audience-friendly messaging.
Collaborate with Client Relations to incorporate testimonials, feedback, and success stories into content.
Support Communications Lead in aligning content with overall campaign goals.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
Track basic performance metrics across content and campaigns (engagement, reach, clicks).
Compile weekly or monthly reports on content performance.
Support optimization efforts by identifying what content resonates with audiences.
Key Competencies & Requirements
Qualification: BA/BSc/HND degree in a relevant field.
Experience: 2–3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or social media management.
Skills: Strong writing and content creation skills.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with social media platforms, content scheduling tools, and basic analytics.
Creative Collaboration: Experience working with creative teams (designers, videographers) is an added advantage.
Soft Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
