The Communication Officer will support the development and delivery of compelling, clear and consistent communications across digital and offline channels. This role is ideal for a creative and organised communicator who can translate complex issues into engaging content for diverse global audiences.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will help ensure our voice is impactful, inclusive and aligned with organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of compelling, clear, and consistent communications across digital and offline channels.
- Translate complex scientific, environmental, or development topics into clear and highly engaging stories and media for diverse global audiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams globally to ensure CABI's voice is impactful, inclusive, and aligned with organizational priorities.
- Assist in managing digital platforms, social media accounts, and email marketing programs.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in communications, content, digital marketing or a related field.
- Education: Minimum undergraduate degree (BA/BSc/HND).
- Language Skills: Excellent written English and strong editing/proofreading skills. Additional language skills are a plus.
- Tools: Familiarity with CMS platforms, email marketing tools, and social media management tools.
- Sector Experience: Experience working in or with not-for-profit or mission-driven organisations is highly desirable. Experience working with international or multicultural audiences is also key.
