We are seeking a qualified to maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure the efficient operation of electrical systems across our commercial property portfolio in Nairobi.
Commercial Building Electrician
Responsibilities
Respond promptly to service requests and repair electrical systems efficiently, minimising downtime.
Conduct preventative maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, panels, equipment, and fixtures.
Handle contingency power systems, including generators and UPS.
Supervise electrical works carried out by contractors within the building.
Inspect systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, or non-compliance with codes.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and operational records.
Ensure full compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations at all times.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for installation work.
Perform physically demanding tasks, including working from ladders/scaffolds and conduit.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering.
Valid electrician’s license in good standing.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an electrical technician in a busy commercial building.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
