The successful candidate will operate and maintain our CNC machinery, including two CNC lathe machines and one Vertical Milling Center (VMC), to produce high-quality components. This role may also involve supporting forging and welding tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and hands-on experience with CNC machining, ensuring efficient production while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and program CNC lathe machines and Vertical Milling Center (VMC) to fabricate parts according to blueprints, specifications, and production schedules.
Perform setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and CAD/CAM files to execute precise machining operations.
Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to prevent breakdowns.
Inspect finished products using measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions, tolerances, and quality compliance.
Assist with forging and welding tasks as required, including material preparation, basic welding operations, and post-processing.
Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflows, reduce wastage, and improve operational efficiency.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with company health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine logs, and inventory of tools and materials.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as identifying process enhancements or training junior staff.
