Simba Corporation is an integrated business group headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, with diverse interests in motor sales and service, hospitality, investment, and financial services. We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Trainer to join our team. The primary objective of this role is to design, implement, and lead technical training programs for the Service, Sales, and Parts departments. The trainer will be responsible for ensuring that all technical staff, including technicians, supervisors, and dealer personnel, possess the necessary knowledge and diagnostic skills to maintain the high standards of Simba Corporation.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Training Delivery: Prepare and conduct product and technical training sessions for the Service, Sales, and Parts Departments as required.
Activity Planning: Execute yearly planned technical activities in accordance with the established training calendar.
Field Support: Conduct training at the branch and dealer levels as and when requested to ensure consistency across all locations.
Specialized Training: Carry out driver training programs and ensure adequate training on diagnosis is provided for all Technicians and Supervisors.
Knowledge Transfer: Stay updated on automotive engineering advancements and disseminate this knowledge to relevant teams.
Requirements and Qualifications
Educational Background: Must hold a Diploma in Automotive Engineering.
Professional Training: Possession of Pedagogical Training (teaching methods) is a requirement.
Work Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in a busy automotive workshop environment.
Expertise: Sound knowledge of automotive engineering principles and vehicle diagnostics.
IT Proficiency: Computer literacy with familiarity in standard office computer applications.
