The Client Onboarding Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role within Citi Kenya. The successful candidate will deal with most problems independently and has latitude to solve complex issues by integrating in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. This role requires analytical thinking, the application of data analysis tools, and attention to detail when making recommendations based on factual information. The analyst will have a direct impact on the effectiveness of the business through high-quality and timely service delivery, requiring developed communication and diplomacy skills to exchange sensitive or complex information.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Documentation Management: Responsible for customer interaction, issuance and review of documentation, and performing system setups with high diligence.
Account Operations: Manage the end-to-end account opening and maintenance processing, including daily oversight of in-process, pended, and service-related activities.
Process Improvement: Determine new work procedures and analyze complex issues with departmental impact to enhance service quality and efficiency.
Service Excellence: Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service to customers, meeting or exceeding expectations guided by service level agreements (SLAs).
Compliance & Risk: Ensure full compliance with internal processes, regulations, policies, and practices. Maintain a robust processing environment with effective controls and risk management practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Establish and maintain close working relationships with clients and internal teams to facilitate prompt issue resolution.
Strategic Support: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and provide innovative solutions to clients based on service level monitoring and customer feedback.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in documentation review, account maintenance, and related cash products is preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent professional experience.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in handling urgent and escalation cases.
Personal Attributes: Highly motivated, persistent, and able to work in a structured, high-volume, and time-sensitive environment. A proactive team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to work with limited supervision.
