Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA)
The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for providing overall leadership, strategic, and operational direction to enable the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) to achieve its short- and long-term objectives. This role is central to the realization of the institution's mandate, vision, and mission. Key expectations include spearheading the design of institutional structures, optimizing ICT systems, providing customer-centered leadership, and ensuring institutional sustainability. The CEO will lead human capital initiatives and is tasked with promoting and upholding good corporate governance, prudent financial management, sound risk management principles, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including resource mobilization.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Formulating and implementing an integrated strategic plan to drive growth and achieve SASRA's vision, mission, and corporate objectives.\n- Ensuring the effective management and utilization of financial, human, and other resources to meet operational, statutory, social, and economic goals.\n- Coordinating and controlling the operations of functional directorates and divisions, delegating implementation to department managers.\n- Determining how policy objectives will be achieved and consulting managers on operational methods and resource requirements.\n- Securing effective cooperation and collaboration with other public, private, and international bodies for integrated service provision.\n- Ensuring compliance with policies, laws, and regulations while fostering a corporate culture of ethics and good corporate citizenship.\n- Maintaining a conducive work environment to attract, retain, and motivate employees.\n\n### Job Specifications\n- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in financial management, co-operative practice and management, law, finance, or economics.\n- Must have served in a senior management position for at least five (5) years.\n- Member of a recognized professional body (where applicable) in good standing.\n- Demonstrated strategic leadership and transformative leadership experience.\n- Proficiency in relevant computer applications.\n- BA/BSc/HND degree as a minimum qualification.\n\n### Further Requirements\n- Must be a Kenyan citizen.\n- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Kenya’s financial sector.\n- Demonstrate sound understanding of corporate governance for State Corporations.\n- High degree of professional competence, administrative capability, and strategic initiative.\n- Must satisfy Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 requirements by providing:\n - Certificate of Good Conduct from the DCI\n - Clearance Certificate from HELB\n - Tax Compliance Certificate from KRA\n - Clearance from the EACC\n - Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)\n\n### How to Apply\nIf your career profile matches the requirements, please submit your application with a detailed curriculum vitae through .
