Cambridge Year 9 Resident Teacher (Tatu International)

As a Cambridge Year 9 Resident Teacher at Tatu International, you will provide a safe and secure environment for children, plan and execute curriculum-aligned activities, and support students' growth through the Cambridge curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable.
• Plan and execute appropriate activities for children each day according to curriculum, schemes of work, and lesson plans.
• Develop, review, and update schemes of work and lesson plans in partnership with line coach and Curriculum Development Manager.
• Set assessments for subject areas/topics when requested.
• Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore and use.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage.
• Organize and lead activities promoting physical, mental, and social development.
• Prepare materials, classrooms, and learning spaces for creative play and motor-skill activities.
• Observe, evaluate, and report each child's progress to school leadership and parents.
• Monitor and maintain records/reports of progress.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet varying student needs and interests.
• Assimilate arriving children to the school environment.
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures to maintain order.
• Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, guest visits, and experiential activities.
• Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and workshops.
• Assist in bus loading and unloading.
• Perform other duties assigned by line coach.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Valid TSC certificate.
• Relevant degree in Education, P1 Diploma, or P1 Certificate.
• 3+ years teaching experience.
• Previous training/qualification or experience in teaching Cambridge curriculum is an added advantage.
• Good working skills with technology such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills.
