The Business Processing & Compliance Assistant role involves coordinating activities and support services within the Business Processing and compliance operations to maintain prompt, efficient, and effective operational support.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Processing: Handle all new and renewal policies as per SLAs and within set guidelines.
Data Management: Prepare data upload files (Benefit setup and Member upload) and ensure correct benefit setup for corporate and retail policies.
Claims Handling: Process claims from service providers and resolve invoice reconciliation issues shared by the finance department.
Reimbursements & Endorsements: Process all reimbursements and endorsements in accordance with defined SLAs.
Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance on captured claims to minimize reconciliation issues and prevent losses from fraudulent claims.
Compliance & Data Quality: Ensure customer data quality and operational compliance are maintained across all processes.
System Testing: Participate in system testing, validation, and process innovation, including training colleagues when necessary.
Reconciliation: Maintain client data and perform data reconciliation for renewals and new business policies.
Retail Policy Administration: Create master policies, manage conversions for new retail policies, and advise finance on premium allocation.
Medical Card Management: Prepare and request medical cards within set Turnaround Times (TAT) and maintain issuance records.
Communication: Maintain regular communication with internal staff and external customers on service matters, implementing the company's customer experience strategy.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
Experience: At least 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.
Professional Certification: Ongoing progress in professional insurance qualifications such as ACII, FLMI, or IIK.
Technical Literacy: Proficiency in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Office and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
