Role Overview
Our Client is seeking to recruit a Business Development Supervisor who will be responsible for supporting field sales operations, driving market penetration, overseeing branch market activities, and strengthening route-to-market execution. The role focuses on supervising field teams, managing stockist relationships, analyzing market trends, and ensuring optimal product performance across assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities
Field Sales Team Support
Supervise & support field sales representatives to achieve sales targets.
Conduct regular field visits to monitor performance and provide coaching where necessary.
Ensure proper execution of sales strategies and promotional activities in the market.
Assist in setting team targets and tracking performance metrics.
Farm Outreach & Market Engagement
Coordinate and support farm outreach activities and customer engagement initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, distributors, stockists, and key stakeholders.
Organize market activations, and awareness campaigns to increase product visibility.
Monitoring, Reporting & Analytics
Prepare regular sales and performance reports for management review.
Monitor team productivity, sales trends, and market coverage.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities to provide actionable insights.
Track KPIs and recommend improvement initiatives.
Branch Market Activities
Coordinate branch-level marketing and sales activities.
Ensure teams effectively execute promotional campaigns and market development initiatives.
Lead in identifying new business opportunities and customer segments.
Stockist Management
Manage relationships with stockists and distributors within assigned regions.
Monitor stock availability and distribution efficiency.
Ensure proper product visibility and market penetration through stockists.
Resolve issues affecting stock movement and customer satisfaction.
Route-to-Market Support
Review and evaluate route-to-market effectiveness and efficiency.
Identify non-viable routes and recommend corrective actions or restructuring.
Support the development and implementation of improved distribution strategies.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Business Administration, Sales, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years in sales management, preferably in the agricultural or agribusiness sector.
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing business growth strategies.
