Role Overview\nThis position is responsible for implementing business development initiatives within GA Insurance Limited’s Kisumu branch. The primary objective is to acquire new intermediaries and manage existing relationships to boost the branch's portfolio through cross-selling and strategic relationship management.\n\n### Main Duties and Responsibilities\n* Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base in Kisumu and surrounding regions.\n* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders.\n* Execute the branch business development strategy through intermediaries and direct selling to achieve budget targets.\n* Establish new intermediaries and manage them through regular visits and presentations to onboard and drive sales.\n* Market all company products at the branch level and participate in creating new business lines customized to market needs.\n* Ensure branch business growth by increasing the strike rate of the quotations register and reporting on progress regarding new business and renewals.\n* Resolve client queries at the branch level and arrange appreciation forums for intermediaries.\n* Train new and existing intermediaries on industry developments and regulatory changes.\n* Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities, implementing strategic marketing plans accordingly.\n* Work with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and prepare business development reports for management.\n\n### Requirements\n* A bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a business-relevant field.\n* Professional qualifications in insurance such as AIIK or ACII is an added advantage.\n* At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.\n* Deep knowledge of the insurance industry, concepts, and regulatory requirements.\n* Demonstrated experience in driving business development initiatives.\n* Conversant with laws applicable to the industry and emerging trends.\n* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.\n* Results-driven, action-oriented, and a collaborative team player.\n* Strong attention to detail and agile mindset.\n* High degree of emotional intelligence, integrity, trust, and dependability.\n\n### How to Apply\nIf you meet the requirements and wish to be part of the Marketing and Business Development team in the Kisumu Branch, please send your application letter and updated CV to the email address by .
