Role Overview
The Business Development and Marketing Officer is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and partnership initiatives to drive patient volume, enhance brand visibility, and grow Ciala Hospital's market share in Kisumu and the surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement business development and marketing strategies to drive patient volume growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, insurers, referral partners, and community stakeholders.
Promote hospital services including outpatient, inpatient, maternity, theatre, diagnostics, and specialized clinics.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
Plan and execute outreach programs, health campaigns, and community engagement activities.
Strengthen hospital brand visibility across Kisumu and surrounding regions.
Manage hospital marketing communications, including digital platforms and promotional materials.
Support patient acquisition initiatives and conversion of leads into service utilization.
Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance and business development outcomes.
Collaborate with internal departments to align service delivery with market needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, or any other relevant business-related field.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role within a busy Level 4 hospital or healthcare institution.
Strong knowledge of Kisumu and surrounding regions, including community networks and corporate landscape.
Proven ability in healthcare marketing, patient acquisition, and business development.
Strong understanding of hospital services positioning and competitive healthcare marketing strategies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to develop and execute effective marketing and outreach campaigns.
Experience in managing partnerships with corporates, insurers, NGOs, and community groups will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in digital marketing and social media engagement will be an added advantage.
High level of professionalism, creativity, and result-oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently and deliver measurable growth outcomes.
