Job Description
Java House is seeking a dedicated Branch Supervisor for its Machakos branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that all policies, procedures, and standards are maintained. The role focuses on delivering high-quality service, maintaining facility appearance, and fostering a productive working environment through effective staff supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines are followed and completed on a timely basis.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, food preparation, serving, repair, and maintenance standards.
Achieve company objectives in sales, service quality, and facility hygiene through staff training and supervision of regular deep cleaning.
Adhere to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies.
Prevent, handle, and resolve guest complaints regarding food quality and service.
Conduct regular store audits to ensure food and drink palatability and flavor conformity.
Prevent and resolve personnel issues.
Maintain high floor coverage (95% of the time) to ensure all guests are served and complaints are minimized.
Ensure strict adherence to SOPs for cash handling.
Oversee the accuracy and timely dispensing of take-away and delivery orders.
Ensure prompt billing and accurate change for guests.
Utilize suggestive selling techniques to introduce new products to guests.
Maintain high hygiene standards at the cashier station and dining areas.
Ensure cutlery is polished and well-displayed at respective stations.
Oversee the dining area and supervise food and beverage service staff.
Listen and respond to guest feedback actively.
Job Specifications and Requirements
Education: Must possess a BA, BSc, or HND.
Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
Financial Literacy: Ability to review P&L statements.
Technical Skills: Able to handle money and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.
Resilience: Must be prepared to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership: Strong coordination skills, ethics, and core values.
Attributes: Result-oriented, self-driven, articulate, and proactive with sound decision-making abilities.
