Branch Manager - Supermarket

The Branch Manager will be responsible for all retail operations and activities, reporting to the General Manager. This role requires agility, leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to rapid changes in the market.\n\n### Core Duties and Responsibilities\n- Develop and implement comprehensive plans to achieve retail chain targets.\n- Lead the retail team, manage grievances and leave, and provide guidance and support.\n- Manage stock turnover using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and identify low stock situations.\n- Identify obsolete and slow-moving stock items for decision-making.\n- Procure high-quality goods transparently and ethically.\n- Ensure the safety and security of stores and merchandise.\n- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual stocktaking and address variances.\n- Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive records.\n- Analyze Category and Brand performance on a weekly and monthly basis.\n- Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and marketing technologies.\n- Manage budgets, resources, and vendors efficiently.\n- Enhance brand visibility and awareness campaigns.\n- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual store budgets.\n- Analyze consumer behavior and customer preferences.\n- Oversee goods reception, stacking according to layout, and computer system updates.\n- Ensure compliance with all regulations and licensing requirements.\n\n### Job Specifications and Qualifications\n- Degree in Business Administration or a related field.\n- At least 3 years’ experience in Retail Management.\n- Demonstrated expertise in procurement processes, emphasizing ethical practices and transparency.\n- Knowledge of the SAGE system or similar software is an added advantage.\n\n### Key Competencies\n- Knowledge of effective merchandise presentation standards.\n- Strong report writing and analytical skills.\n- Excellent leadership and communication skills.\n- Agility and a results-driven mindset.\n- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.\n- High integrity.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should forward their CV to: using the position as the subject of the email.
