Job Description
Tandeli is an artisanal microbakery based in Nairobi, Kenya, specializing in sourdough bread, cardamom buns, and focaccia with Gujarati influences. While operating primarily as an online bakery with deliveries, they are expanding to a new physical location on Rhapta Road. We are growing and looking to fill the Sales Assistant role at the new Rhapta Rd bakery and coffee shop.
Role Overview
As a Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our new bakery and coffee shop, interacting with customers and sharing our passion for artisanal products. You will be responsible for providing excellent service and ensuring smooth daily operations at our Rhapta Road branch.
Responsibilities
Engage with customers and assist them with their selections of sourdough bread, cardamom buns, and focaccia.
Provide detailed information about our products and their unique Gujarati influences.
Handle sales transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment within the bakery and coffee shop.
Support the general daily operations of the retail space to ensure a premium customer experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine interest in artisanal bakery products and the food service industry.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
Previous experience in retail or hospitality is an added advantage.
