About the Role

The Branch Manager for Ol Kalou will coordinate with the Head of Branches in implementing and carrying out bank policy and procedures with respect to overall operations of the branch. The role is responsible for business development within the branch market to meet or exceed business development goals, development and coaching of staff, and adherence to policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Branch Strategic Planning: Prepare and implement a branch business plan; provide clear direction based on market analysis of local area consumer trends and competitor offerings; and manage the branch budget and expenditure.
- Business Growth & Development: Take full responsibility for all product lines and business development; grow the branch asset and liability portfolio; and ensure compliance with the Bank’s Credit Policy and CBK guidelines.
- Marketing & Brand Management: Embed strategic marketing to develop competitive advantage; build the Sidian Bank brand as a top-of-mind enterprise bank; and support product specialists in marketing initiatives.
- Relationship Management: Drive customer satisfaction and advocacy; manage key branch relationships; and ensure wait times and service standards are met.
- Branch Operations: Ensure timely opening and closing of the branch; monitor systems and workflows; manage security procedures and cash levels; and ensure staff are trained in KYC and AML.
- Leadership & People Management: Manage human resources for branch staff; set performance objectives and provide regular feedback; and identify career path opportunities and succession planning.
- Risk & Compliance: Maintain a culture of internal control; ensure all onboarded customers meet AML/CFT/CPF guidelines; and identify and report suspicious transactions to the MLRO.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Academic Background: University degree in a relevant business discipline (e.g., Business Administration or Finance). A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years’ working experience in a Banking environment, with sound exposure to Branch Operations, Credit Management, and Business development. 4 years should be at a management role.
- Professional Certification: Diploma in Banking – AKIB is an added advantage.
- Skills: Sound knowledge of Retail/SME products; understanding of the CBK regulatory framework; strong leadership, marketing, and sales skills; excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
