Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) is seeking a Branch Manager for the Capital Hill Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the branch operations, focusing on achieving profitability targets, managing asset and liability portfolios, and delivering high-quality customer service. This leadership role involves strategic management of branch resources, team development, and ensuring total adherence to risk management frameworks while championing the digital migration agenda within the branch.
Key Responsibilities
Profitability and Growth: Achieve profitability targets through revenue maximization and prudent cost management. Grow and monitor the branch’s liability and asset portfolios to achieve business targets.
Customer Management: Grow the customer base and ensure retention of existing customers through a high level of customer satisfaction and cross-selling.
Branch Management: Oversee the overall management of the branch through the efficient utilization of resources and delivery of excellent customer service by maintaining high service standards.
Risk and Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and maintain a good understanding of risk and credit policies and procedures.
Leadership and Development: Motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team. Champion digital migration within the branch.
Requirements and Qualifications
A University Degree from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in General Banking, 4 years of which should have been as a Branch Manager at MLC level.
Proven experience in Sales, Personal, Business, or Retail Banking.
Experience in Credit Analysis and administration.
Experience in Bank operations covering Cash Management, Clearing, Accounts, and Administration.
Demonstrated consistent high performance in role(s) held in the last three years.
A thorough knowledge of Retail Banking products and services, and extensive Banking Industry knowledge.
Excellent high-quality interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to network and develop strong business relations.
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated competencies in championing high-performance management.
Excellent planning, organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
