The Branch Leader is responsible for providing leadership to the entire branch team for business growth while ensuring optimal resource allocation. You will act as the key representative of Tugende in the branch’s area of operation, serving as the main contact between the company and the business community. Key Duties and Responsibilities
Branch and Field Operations
Oversight and coordination of all branch activities including Sales, Customer Service, Human Resources, and administration.
Prudent management of all branch resources (human resources, assets, tools, and equipment).
Implement strategies to improve productivity and operational performance to achieve financial targets, ensure profitability, and manage portfolio quality.
Maintain forecast models for client utilization, stock demands, and disbursement predictions (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually).
Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Tugende policies, and employee manuals.
Manage branch inventory and supervise the recording and update of each asset.
Perform routine checks and spot-on audits to assess risk and improve processes.
Propose portfolio diversity and conduct market surveys to identify new opportunities.
Oversee loan origination, credit assessments, and approval processes.
Implement recovery strategies for overdue accounts and non-performing loans.
Promote staff welfare and maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
Customer Service Excellence
Resolve escalated customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Build rapport with customers and the community to drive satisfaction and retention.
Upskill the team on service delivery and educate customers on product types and payment plans.
Budgets and Forecasting
Manage branch utilities, office supplies, and financial forecasts (Branch P&L).
Monitor and report on branch utilization versus the approved budget.
Performance Management
Set expectations, monitor team performance, and provide coaching for high performance.
Identify professional development areas and implement performance plans.
Approve work plans (branch shifts) and ensure adequate resource allocation.
Compliance and Reporting
Enforce adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory guidelines (KYC/AML, data protection).
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly branch performance reports.
