The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) invites applications for its Industrial Attachment Program specifically for students pursuing Actuarial Science. This program is designed to provide continuing undergraduate and diploma students with hands-on experience and exposure to the operations of a national revenue collection agency. The attachment lasts for a non-extendable period of three (3) months.
Responsibilities
While specific duties are assigned upon placement, interns in the Actuarial Science department generally assist with:
Statistical analysis of revenue and taxation data.
Risk assessment and modeling tasks.
Preparation of financial forecasts and reports.
Learning to apply actuarial principles to government revenue management and insurance-related audits.
Supporting departmental projects and administrative tasks.
Requirements
To be eligible, candidates must:
Be a Kenyan Citizen aged below 35 years.
Be a continuing undergraduate student (3rd, 4th, or final year) or a Diploma student in their final year from a recognized University or College.
Possess a valid introduction letter from their learning institution.
Be available full-time for the three-month duration of the program.
Additional Requirements (Upon Selection)
Successful candidates will be required to provide:
Proof of a valid Personal Accident Insurance Cover.
Copies of KRA PIN certificate, NHIF/SHIF, and NSSF.
Copy of National ID card.
Valid Bank Account details.
Monthly Stipend
A monthly stipend of KShs. 7,000 (subject to statutory deductions) will be paid to both undergraduate and diploma students.
