Kisumu County is looking for an Assistant Sanitation Engineer to play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of sanitation and waste management infrastructure within the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality sanitation services to the residents of Kisumu County through accountable and efficient leadership.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design and development of sanitation engineering projects, including wastewater treatment systems and solid waste management facilities.
Utilize engineering software such as AutoCAD and WaterCAD for technical designs and modeling.
Oversee and supervise construction and maintenance of sanitation infrastructure to ensure compliance with standards.
Manage project timelines and documentation effectively using project management principles.
Coordinate with various stakeholders to enhance county sanitation coverage and public health outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
A Bachelor's degree in Sanitation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related equivalent field.
Mandatory registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
A minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of design software, specifically AutoCAD and WaterCAD.
Proficiency in general computer applications and project management tools.
