The County Government of Kitui is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant ECDE Teacher III. The primary role involves conducting early childhood education classes, managing learning activities, facilitating young learners' holistic development, and maintaining professional teaching records under the mentorship of senior teachers.
Requirements for Appointment
Kenyan Citizen
KCSE mean grade D+ (Plus) or equivalent
Certificate in ECDE (KNEC or approved equivalent)
Registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC)
Any other requirement KCPSB may deem necessary
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct class teaching and manage ECDE classes
Provide role modelling, mentorship, guidance, and counselling
Prepare and maintain professional records including schemes of work, lesson plans, and attendance registers
Organize play and learning activities conducive to early childhood development
Prepare and develop appropriate play and learning materials
Promote holistic development of children (spiritual, moral, social, mental, physical, aesthetic, and emotional)
Ensure the safety and security of learners within the learning environment
Prepare progress and performance reports
Work under the guidance of senior teachers for professional mentoring
