The Assistant Agricultural Officer III will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to farmers within Nandi County. The role focuses on improving crop production, managing land development projects, and ensuring the effective operation of demonstration plots to facilitate learning and adoption of modern agricultural techniques.
Responsibilities
Training and advising farmers on matters related to crop production.
Facilitating land development and planning initiatives at the local level.
Managing and supervising agricultural demonstration plots.
Advising on modern agricultural management practices.
Requirements
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C or its equivalent.
Diploma in any of the following fields: Agriculture, Food Technology, Agriculture & Home Economics, Agricultural Education, Horticulture, or equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.
Certificate in computer application skills.
Possession of a valid motorbike riding license and experience in riding will be an added advantage.
