Maseno University is recruiting four (4) Artisans (Welders) to join its team on a short-term basis. These positions are offered on a Fixed Term Contract for a maximum, non-renewable period of six months.
Responsibilities and Duties
Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through welding techniques.
Perform repairs on existing university infrastructure and metallic fixtures.
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to plan welding operations.
Select and operate appropriate welding equipment (e.g., arc, MIG, or TIG) based on material requirements.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and institutional quality requirements.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements
Relevant technical certification in Welding and Fabrication or equivalent artisan training.
Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Copies of all academic and professional certificates.
Copies of all relevant transcripts.
Must be willing to work on a fixed six-month contract.
Valid NCPWD certificate for applicants living with disabilities.
