Role Overview Maseno University is seeking a qualified Artisan (Road Technician) to support its infrastructure and engineering activities. This position is offered on a short-term basis to ensure the maintenance and safety of campus roads and associated facilities. The successful candidate will perform technical tasks related to road repairs and upkeep under a fixed-term arrangement. ### Terms of Service The Terms of Service for this position will be on a Fixed Term Contract, non-renewable for a maximum period of Six (6) months. ### Responsibilities - Execute road maintenance and technical repair works as directed. - Operate relevant technical equipment and tools for infrastructure upkeep. - Ensure compliance with safety standards and engineering guidelines. - Assist in the assessment of road conditions and identification of required repairs. - Collaborate with the technical team to complete assigned projects within stipulated timelines. - Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. ### Qualifications and Requirements - Relevant technical certificates or trade tests in road construction or a related engineering field. - Proven experience in road technical works or maintenance. - Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV). - Copies of all academic and professional certificates. - Official transcripts (where applicable). - Commitment to the 6-month fixed-term contract period. ### Equal Opportunity Maseno University is an equal opportunity employer and therefore applicants of all genders, marginalized groups, and persons living with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
