Artisan (Painter)

Maseno University is seeking to recruit qualified individuals for the position of Artisan (Painter). There are seven (7) available vacancies for this role. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing professional painting and finishing services across university facilities to ensure high standards of maintenance and aesthetics. ### Terms of Service The Terms of Service for all the positions will be on a Fixed Term Contract, non-renewable for a maximum period of Six (6) months. ### Responsibilities * Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and cleaning to ensure proper paint adhesion. * Mix and match paint colors and textures to meet specific aesthetic requirements. * Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers. * Fill cracks and holes with appropriate fillers and sealers. * Perform maintenance and repairs on painted surfaces across university buildings and equipment. * Ensure all work meets university safety and quality standards. * Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment. ### Requirements Interested applicants are expected to possess: * Relevant professional certificates/qualifications in painting and decoration or a related technical field. * Academic qualifications as applicable to the artisan level. * An updated Curriculum Vitae (CV). * All academic and professional certificates and transcripts. * Applicants from marginalized groups and persons living with disability are encouraged to apply (attach NCPWD certificate if applicable). ### How to Apply Interested applicants should submit Two (2) hard copies of the application, clearly indicating the reference number for the position applied for.
