West Kenya Sugar Limited is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Area Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing territory sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets, leading and motivating sales representatives, and building sustainable relationships with customers and distributors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Execute territory sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Lead, coach, and motivate sales representatives to deliver strong field performance.
Build and maintain sustainable customer and distributor relationships.
Identify new business opportunities and drive market expansion initiatives.
Monitor competitor activity, customer trends, and market developments.
Drive disciplined use of Sales Force Automation (SFA) for reporting and KPI tracking.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency and customer service excellence.
Drive compliance with company policies, governance standards, and quality systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales management or territory sales leadership.
Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
Experience managing sales representatives and distributor networks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM/SFA systems.
Strong analytical and reporting capability.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment.
