Job Description
This is a leadership role focused on QuickBooks Online accounting, where the successful candidate will independently manage full-cycle accounting for multi-location restaurant and franchise clients based in the U.S. The role involves maintaining clean, audit-ready financial records, supporting system transitions, and leading process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
QuickBooks Online Accounting Leadership
Independently manage full-cycle accounting in QuickBooks Online.
Maintain clean, accurate, audit-ready financial records; oversee accruals, sales tax filings, and tip accounting.
Prepare and review monthly financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
Identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactively; clean up and restructure books where necessary.
Ensure financial reporting supports scalability and operational insight with strong balance sheet ownership.
Restaurant & Multi-Unit Accounting Support
Support multi-location restaurant and franchise clients managing complexities like tip allocation, sales tax tracking, and multi-unit reporting.
Track Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and food & beverage expenses.
Understand restaurant workflows, POS systems, and operational terminology.
Restaurant365 (R365) Transition & Systems Development
Support the migration from QuickBooks Online to Restaurant365.
Learn and become proficient in R365 (training provided).
Assist in data cleanup, system configuration, and reporting optimization.
Process Improvement & Technology Enablement
Develop and document accounting workflows and SOPs.
Identify inefficiencies and recommend automation tools or AI-enabled workflows.
Contribute to the optimization of the accounting tech stack.
Collaboration & Communication
Work directly with U.S.-based leadership and accounting team members.
Provide proactive updates and communicate financial issues clearly.
Operate effectively within U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience.
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
