We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at Team Plus Limited. The successful candidate will be proactive, organized, and able to identify and correct errors, rather than just performing data entry tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management: Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time, including final dues calculations and employee payments.
Compliance: Ensure full compliance with KRA requirements such as PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, and other statutory deductions.
Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records and reports, and support the preparation of financial statements.
Account Reconciliation: Review and reconcile accounts to ensure data integrity.
Expense Control: Monitor expenses and implement cost control measures.
Departmental Support: Work closely with HR on attendance, leave, and payroll-related matters.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in payroll-heavy environments.
Education: Diploma or Professional Certificate in Accounting or a related field.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws, statutory deductions, and proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
Competencies: High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
